Schlegeis 3000 Vertical Race
The Schlegeis300 Vertical celebrated its premiere in 2021 and was an instant success. The challenging route and the breathtaking finish at the 'Riepenkopf' summit cross is an unforgettable experience for every athlete. In 2022, the Austrian state champions will be crowned on the Riepenkopf route.
The start is the parking lot at the Schlegeis reservoir (parking lot Verbund / Olpererhütte) then a direct ascent past the Olpererhütte to the breathtaking destination at the Riepenkopf summit cross.
There is NO compulsory equipment for the Vertical!
VK OPEN Championship & Vertical Austria Series
The Schlegeis 3000 Vertical is the first vertical course in Austria to be certified by the ISF and will celebrate its premiere in the international VK OPEN Championship series in 2022. In addition, since 2021 the vertical has been part of the national skyrunning vertical series, which is organized by ISF Austria and the International Skyrunning Federation. In 2022, the Austrian national championship in the vertical will be held at the Schlegeis 3000 and will serve as a qualifying race for the vertical world championships.
